About Dr. Lim
Dr. Steve Lim is driven by one simple goal: helping patients feel healthier, more confident, and proud of their smiles. His commitment to excellence led him to complete advanced specialty training in prosthodontics and achieve board certification, a distinction that reflects the highest level of expertise in complex restorative and implant dentistry. With more than 25 years of experience, Dr. Lim has helped patients with needs ranging from straightforward restorations to full-mouth rehabilitation regain comfort, function, and lasting confidence.
Where Did You Study Dentistry??
Dr. Lim earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Washington before completing his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He then remained at Tufts to complete his postgraduate specialty training in prosthodontics. Today, he is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and maintains active involvement in leading professional organizations, reflecting his dedication to continued growth and clinical excellence.
In addition to patient care, Dr. Lim is deeply engaged in advancing the field of dentistry. He is the Founder and CEO of APS Global Ventures, a company focused on CAD/CAM implant component manufacturing, and he leads professional study clubs in both San Francisco and Silicon Valley. He regularly pursues continuing education, including advanced training through Spear Education, to ensure his patients benefit from the latest techniques and technology.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Outside the office, Dr. Lim enjoys an active and creative life. A former Washington state champion wrestler, he now spends his free time skiing, golfing, playing piano and guitar, and making memories outdoors with his wife—an orthodontist—and their two sons.
