About Dr. Escobar
A proud Reno native, Dr. Julio Escobar has called Northern Nevada home for his entire life. Growing up in the area gave him a deep appreciation for the people and community he now has the opportunity to serve as a dentist. At Smile Design Implant Center, Dr. Escobar is passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centered care and helping patients feel comfortable and confident throughout their dental experience.
Dr. Escobar earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Nevada, Reno before attending the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in Ann Arbor. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2007 and returned home to Northern Nevada to begin his career in dentistry.
Known for his gentle approach and attention to detail, Dr. Escobar takes the time to understand each patient's individual needs and goals. He believes great dentistry is about more than treating teeth—it is about building trust, educating patients about their options, and creating an experience that helps them feel confident in their care.

Dr. Escobar is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), a distinction that reflects his dedication to advanced education and continued professional development. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to expanding his clinical knowledge and staying current with advancements in modern dentistry.
His experience encompasses general, restorative, cosmetic, and implant dentistry, allowing him to provide comprehensive care tailored to each patient's unique needs. At Smile Design Implant Center, Dr. Escobar brings this extensive experience to a team focused on restoring oral health, function, and confidence through personalized treatment.
Above all, Dr. Escobar values the trust patients place in him. He strives to develop lasting relationships through honesty, compassion, and quality care while ensuring patients feel informed and supported at every stage of treatment.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Escobar enjoys everything Northern Nevada has to offer. As a lifelong Reno resident, he feels fortunate to live and work in the community he has always called home and enjoys staying connected to the area and the people who make it special.
